Membership

Your membership will make AAUW’s powerful voice even stronger on critical issues affecting women and girls. AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or class.

AAUW Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Student Affiliation is open to anyone who does not already hold an undergraduate degree and are enrolled in a two-or four-year regionally accredited educational institution.

Branch Friend Membership is open to anyone who supports the mission of AAUW, but who does not have the academic qualifications for AAUW membership.

Dues Annual Dues of $ 98.00, paid during March and April for the fiscal year beginning July 1, are allocated as follows: $72.00 National ($69 is tax deductible as a charitable contribution, and $3 is not because it supports the AAUW Action Fund’s Section 501(c)(4) Lobby Corps and get-out-the-vote activities); $12.00 AAUW Florida dues; $14.00 Marco Island Branch dues.

Dual Members having primary branch membership outside FL and pay dues of $26 ($12 AAUW-FL and $14 Marco Island).

Friend of the Branch Members pay dues of $20, which are not tax deductible. They support AAUW’s mission, but do not have the educational credentials for AAUW membership (e.g. AA or equivalent degree). Friends may participate in all branch activities other than voting and holding office.
